Operations Support Specialist

We are seeking to add a full-time, Operations Support Specialist to our team. The Operations Support Specialist role provides exceptional customer service to our internal and external customers in the areas of Benefits, Payroll, and HR Operations. Responsible for the support of onboarding new employees, as well as other customer service functions such as payroll and HRIS support.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Commences the employee onboarding process by entering information provided by our clients
- Provides support via email, phone, and in-person to employees who have questions about the onboarding process
- Communicates directly with clients regarding the status of new hire onboarding and other questions
- Coordinates the working paper process for minors
- Ensures compliance with I-9 and E-Verify requirements
- Supports the payroll department by coordinating payroll check deliveries and assisting with maintenance items
- Conducts regular audits of employee benefit and payroll setup and works with each team to correct any discrepancies
- Provides support to other functional areas of the Operations team as needed. May also provide support or information to other internal departments
- Provides exceptional customer service when assisting clients and employees
- Demonstrates strong communication skills with all internal and external customer interactions
- Demonstrates data accuracy through self-checks and audits
- Assists with overflow of incoming telephone calls
- Performs other duties as required to support business operations
The successful candidate will have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a customer service focused role
- Experience working with an HRIS system preferred but not required
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to quickly learn new technology programs
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet deadlines
- High accuracy in work, attention to detail
