We are seeking to add an experienced, full-time, Retirement Specialist to our team. The Retirement Specialist serves as the primary contact for ESC’s Multiple Employer 401(k) Plan, overseeing daily administration, compliance, and client support.  

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Acts as the primary contact for ESC’s Multiple Employer 401(k) Plan (MEP) for both internal and external contacts.
  • Administers employee contributions, loans, and rollovers.
  • Performs regular audits to ensure compliance.
  • Monitors regulatory changes and provides updates to the team. Drafts client communications as needed.
  • Leads the client implementation process for the MEP: work with external partners to advise on plan setup, ensure deadlines and deliverables are met, and assist with employee education and customer satisfaction.
  • Supports the annual non-discrimination testing process, the annual audit, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Works closely with Payroll, HR, Benefits, and clients to ensure data accuracy within ESC’s system and client documents.
  • Research and resolve complex retirement plan issues, escalating to Plan vendors as needed.
  • Updates employee required documents within the system.
  • Provides excellent customer service to clients and employees for all retirement-plan matters.

 The successful candidate will have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 7 + years working with large Retirement Plan(s) required.
  • Working knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations.
  • PEO or Multiple Employer Plan experience a plus.
  • Has knowledge of standard benefit concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of detail orientation.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong math competency skill
